A Monumental Signage Project for a Cultural Landmark
Through one of our trusted partners, NOVA Signage recently completed a cohesive signage package for Salishan, a new destination celebrating arts, culture, and heritage. This project challenged us to blend craftsmanship, material expression, and functional clarity, and the result is a unified system that guides visitors while elevating the overall environment.
At the site entrance, the monumental sign sets the tone. Built on a stainless steel base, it features a customized yellow cedar panel CNC-milled in a 3D pattern—a process that required more than 48 hours of continuous precision work. The texture, depth, and warmth of the wood bring subtle character to the space, highlighting the craft and materiality behind the piece.
Across the property, freestanding and blade metal signs continue the visual rhythm established at the entry. Consistent forms, finishes, and proportions create a unified language that supports wayfinding while complementing the surrounding architecture. A carefully coordinated color palette ties every component together, ensuring coherence across materials and locations.
This signage suite reflects the interplay of form, material, and texture. Each element is intentionally designed to be seen, felt, and experienced. Despite its custom nature, the entire project—from sourcing specialized materials to fabrication and shipping—was completed in just nine weeks, demonstrating our team’s ability to pair bespoke craftsmanship with efficient production.
