What is a Trimcap Channel Letter?

A Trimcap Channel Letter is a three-dimensional sign composed of a metal body and an acrylic face, bordered by a plastic trim cap. The trimcap secures the face to the metal structure, giving the letter a clean, polished edge. These letters can be illuminated (LED-lit) or non-illuminated, depending on your signage needs.

What materials are used to make your Trimcap Channel Letters?

We manufacture our Trimcap Channel Letters using high-quality, durable materials:

  • 304 Stainless Steel (1.25mm): Ideal for indoor and standard outdoor environments; resistant to rust and corrosion.
  • 316 Stainless Steel (1.25mm): Marine-grade steel for coastal or high-humidity areas; provides superior corrosion resistance.
  • Aluminum (3mm): Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, suitable for large letters or installations where weight is a concern.

What is the purpose of the trimcap?

The trimcap connects and seals the acrylic face to the metal return. It enhances the letter’s durability while providing a clean border that defines the shape and color of each letter.
